We all know that many people are killed in drug dealing operations, yet people still buy drugs. If we didn't buy them they wouldn't sell them. That would solve the problem but it's not gonna happen.

The U.S. government supplies drugs to this country so they can appear to fight a war against these drugs. It keeps the cash train rolling. Ask the Clintons and Bill's brother, back in the Arkansas days.

Then have the US government legalize and regulate drugs because drug users aren’t going away. Plus the same thing can be said for a multitude of legal products that are imported from other countries that work in horrendous conditions. People still buy iPhones even though they had to install suicide nets off of Foxconn manufacturing buildings because the Chinese workers work under incredibly stressful conditions with basically no regulations on their work environment. GM ignition switch? Takata airbags? Workers in Qatar building the stadiums for the World Cup dying under horrible conditions? Are you going to also not watch soccer? I’m not saying it’s right but why single out hard drug users that are often physically addicted to the drugs, when innocent people die in a multitude of industries making products for the west. It also isn't easy to just "quit" drugs on a dime, just like heavy drinkers that stop drinking cold turkey go into DTs. The solution to stopping deaths related to drug cartels isn't telling drug users to just stop because people will die. That rhetoric has been used for years and does absolutely nothing, especially when the DEA monetize off of American drug users. Or how private prisons also make large profits due to the number of people convicted of drug crimes instead of offering substance abuse treatment to stop drug use. There are soooo many more factors at play when people die related to drug-trade than just being a "hard drug user." The consumer is really a small part of the problem at hand.
